H2M Labs (Now Pace Analytical)
Challenge: H2M labs was looking for a LIMS that would provide its team members with excellent core features, would remain up-to-date with the latest technologies and ever-changing regulations of the EPA. However, H2M also needed to maintain their customized reports and local in-house modules. Additionally, clients were lamenting the lack of an online portal.
Solution: Khemia programmers developed a method that allowed Omega LIMS to interface seamlessly with H2M’s in-house modules and custom reports. The H2M external database was unaffected by new releases and updates by Khemia. This is because Omega LIMS is architecturally open and allows companies like H2M to make the customized changes desired, but still have the benefit of new system enhancements. To satisfy clients, Khemia provided a web portal, Flashpoint.
Benefit: Khemia’s regular system updates ensure that H2M stays compliant with regulations, despite the changing EPA and state regulations. The LIMS also allows them to modify and customize their reporting as needed for their unique requirements. FlashPoint provided H2M clients and employees the ability to view real-time work order status, obtain both preliminary and final reports, and access historical data. Email alerts were set up to provide notification on receipt of projects, completion of analytical test data and other activities associated with client projects.
