EPA’s Office of Water has created a memorandum describing recommendations in the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit program and National Pretreatment Program for addressing toxic and hazardous chemical discharges from industry to Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTWs).
